Itemfield Appoints Dr. Jacob Ukelson As CTO.

San Mateo, Spanish for St. , Calif. -- Itemfield, the leading provider of next-generation data transformation software for high-performance, mission-critical enterprise applications, announced today the appointment of Dr. Jacob Ukelson as Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Dr. Ukelson will oversee Itemfield's technical product strategy and product roadmap.

IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  Israel's Global Technology Unit, where he was responsible for the technical relationships between IBM and Europe's high-tech start-up and venture capital community.

Previously, Dr. Ukelson was a department general manager at the IBM Thomas J. Dr. Ukelson has led the design and development of many large scale applications focused on ease-of-use such as the EXPO 92 distributed pavilion, unemployment insurance kiosks for the Illinois department of employment services, and the Sears package pickup system.

Dr. Ukelson received his Doctorate of Science in computer science from the Technion - Israel's institute of technology for work on adaptive man-machine interactions. Dr. Ukelson has been published in many technical journals and has spoken at conferences worldwide. In 1997 Dr. Ukelson received the Alexander C. Williams Ergonomics and Human Factors Award from the Human Factors Society.
