Itanium(R) Solutions Alliance Extends Innovation Contest Deadline.Entries Due March 1 PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Itanium[R] Solutions Alliance today announced the extension of the entry deadline for the Itanium Solutions Alliance Innovation Contest. Entries will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. PST on March 1, 2007. The contest recognizes innovative solutions for the Intel[R] Itanium[R] 2 architecture. End users and software developers of Itanium[R] 2-based solutions are encouraged to enter their solution in one of three categories including Humanitarian Impact Innovation, Enterprise Business Application and Entrepreneurial Innovation. One winner in each category will receive a $50,000 cash prize. Innovation Contest judges include Tony DeVarco, corporate alliance manager at Symantec; Matthew Eastwood, program vice president of IDC's Enterprise Platform Group; William Jalby, co-founder and head of the Ph.D. graduate school covering economics, computer science and robotics at the University of Versailles; Renee J. James, vice president and general manager of the Software and Solutions Group for Intel Corporation; Gale Persil, director of product management operations at Computer Associates; Chen Qiwang, Itanium product manager, PowerLeader Science & Technology Co., Ltd; and Mark K.
