SAC embarks on extensive media campaign to promote agri-value opportunities

There is a bright future for agriculture in Saskatchewan Agriculture in Saskatchewan is the production of various food, feed, or fiber commodities to fulfill domestic and international human and animal sustenance needs. The newest agricultural economy to be developed in renewable biofuel production or agricultural biomass which is ... it is a future available to those who can look forward to the emerging opportunities. The Saskatchewan Agrivision Corporation Inc. (SAC Inc.) is launching an extensive media campaign to encourage Saskatchewan people to leave the past and work towards a bright future.

The campaign consists of a series of radio, television and print ads, all of which will run across Saskatchewan beginning immediately. The ads carry a common theme: It's time It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal Party of Australia) government, Labor put forward a  to look forward, and note there is a bright future for agriculture in higher value crops, more pork production to utilize our feed grains, increased beef production and more food processing Food processing is the set of methods and techniques used to transform raw ingredients into food for consumption by humans or animals. The food processing industry utilises these processes. .

The result is more jobs for our young people and First Nations, the growth of our population and enhanced economic activity. The ad series directs people to the SAC Inc. web site, at www.agrivision.sk.ca for more information. The web site includes a number of publications and fact sheets produced by SAC Inc. on agri-value opportunities.

The campaign was made possible through the financial support of FSIN FSIN Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations , Sask Pork, and the Saskatoon Saskatoon (săskətn`), city (1991 pop. 186,058), S central Sask., Canada, on the South Saskatchewan River.  and District Chamber of Commerce. Generous donations of advertising time and space were provided by CTV CTV Canadian Television (Network Limited)  Saskatchewan, Global Television Network Saskatchewan, CJWW Radio, CFQC (Hot 93) Radio, CJMK-FM (Magic 98.3) Radio, CJVR Radio, Golden West Radio, Rawlco Radio, Eagle Feather News, Saskatchewan Business Magazine and the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association. The Marketing Den contributed to the design of the print visual.

SAC Inc. is a coalition of farm and business leaders with a mandate to establish a clear vision for the rapid growth and expansion of value-added processing throughout Saskatchewan. By uniting all players in agriculture, from suppliers through to farmers, processors, transporters and retailers, SAC Inc. aims to encourage and foster the rapid development of Saskatchewan's agribusiness sector.
