In follow-up to my letter of December 2006 re Bishop's Peric's comments on Medjugorje (C.I., pp. 5-6), I thought it interesting to see the announcement that the chief papal pa·pal  
adj.

 preacher at the Vatican, the well-known Father Raniero Cantalamessa Reverend Father Raniero Cantalamessa is a Franciscan Capuchin Priest within the Roman Catholic Church. Born in 1934, he has served as the Preacher to the Papal Household since 1980. History & Education
