The Detroit Regional Economic Partnership is pulling out all the stops to showcase the region during the SAE 2001 World Congress

If you're in the automotive industry The automotive industry is the industry involved in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of motor vehicles. In 2006, more than 69 million motor vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles were produced worldwide.  or the supplier industry or even remotely connected to either of those vital sectors, the chances are good that you'll find yourself in downtown Detroit sometime during the period of March 5-8 for a showcase event.

Cobo Center is the setting for the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers SAE International (SAE) is a professional organization for mobility engineering professionals in aerospace, automotive and the commercial vehicle industries.

The Society is a standards development organization for the engineering of powered vehicles of all kinds, including
) 2001 World Congress, one of the most prestigious events for spotlighting the Detroit Region in the global marketplace. This year's theme is "Succeeding in the Alliance Game."

Since its inception in 1996, the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership -- the economic-development arm of the Detroit Regional Chamber -- has taken full advantage of this not-to-be-missed opportunity to promote the Detroit Region as a great place to do business.

The Partnership's exhibit space this year is twice the size of last year's, and our staff is in the process of designing a brand new booth to wow the more than 50,000 automotive industry professionals who attend this show. The idea behind this new design is to add a modern edge to the region's image and emphasize that we are truly a high-tech region, employing cutting-edge technology in automotive and other industries.

The annual breakfast event provides an opportunity for foreign companies considering entering the U.S. market to meet with the Partnership's economic-development staff and learn more about how the Partnership can help and what the Region has to offer as a critical location within the global automotive marketplace.
