The Queen, Princess Margaret and Prince Charles were guests at the wedding of the late Earl Louis Mountbatten's grandson at Winchester Cathedral.
Timothy Knatchbull, 33, who survived the IRA bomb that killed his grandfather in 1979, married 27-year-old Isabella Norman yesterday.
Timothy, the youngest son of Lord Brabourne and Countess Mountbatten of Burma, is the godson of the Prince of Wales.
His grandfather, Louis Mountbatten of Burma, the last Viceroy of India, was killed along with Timothy's twin brother Nicholas, 14, when an IRA bomb blew apart their boat off the coast of County Sligo in the Irish Republic.
The Dowager Lady Brabourne and an Irish boy, Paul Maxwell, were also killed in the attack.
Among those at the ceremony were Timothy's parents, who were also seriously injured by the bomb.
