It's a Snap to Create Projects, Enhance and Share Digital Photos On the Home PC; SnapShot Software From Sierra Home Brings the Fun of Digital Imaging to Mainstream Consumers.

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1998--It's time to set aside the dusty old photo album.

Now it's possible to do more with digitized photos on the home computer than ever before.

Sierra Home today announced the release of SnapShot, a completely integrated consumer software program for enhancing, sharing, and creating projects with photos on the computer.

With one easy-to-use, integrated application, SnapShot users can restore and enhance meaningful pictures, pass them on electronically to friends and family, create hundreds of different projects and organize their digitized images. Instead of filing away pictures in a box or photo album, images can be organized on the computer and transformed into fun and creative photo projects. With the click of a button, precious photos can be preserved as clearly as the memories themselves. Finally, users can share those special pictures with friends and family through creative output options and thousands of projects as basic as greeting cards and as impressive as multimedia slide shows and personal Web pages.

SnapShot lets users view and save almost any photo on screen, easily and quickly. It's simple to download, import from diskette The official name for the floppy disk. See floppy disk.

Print Pictures and Create Projects

Here's where the fun begins with SnapShot. Helpful wizards guide the user to create special gifts, crafts and mementos. Designing crafts with digital photos is made easy with SnapShot's hundreds of professionally designed and customizable templates, and more than 600 pieces of clip art. Users simply drop-in any size picture to make truly unique creations, including scrapbook pages, postcards, awards, greeting cards, certificates, flyers, frames, holiday ornaments, and more.

It's also no longer a hassle to make dozens of reprints of a favorite picture. With photo-quality paper, users can make as many baby pictures or shots of the new puppy as desired. It's easy and fun to share photos electronically via e-mail, create multimedia slide shows including sound and graphics, make photo screen savers, and design personal Web sites.

Organize Pictures

SnapShot's powerful photo organizer catalogues and accounts for all digital images so the user doesn't have to. Once the images have been captured, SnapShot automatically creates a folder that saves to the user's hard drive. Individual pictures can be saved by name, keyword or a description of a photo; and entire "albums" of older photos can be packed-up on diskette or another drive and stored away for later. Users can create these personal archives and find favorite photos instantly with SnapShot's powerful search tool. With the robust organization capabilities of SnapShot, photos need never get lost again.
