Ensuring Solutions is an initiative designed to develop research based information and tools that can help employers, schools, communities, and policy makers reduce alcohol use and the costs associated with it and improve access to treatment for those who need it. EAP uses its own start and end messages, but then carries any number of third-party messages between the client (supplicant) and access control Follow-up in the Workplace Boosts Alcohol Treatment Success," describes the goals of the follow-up process and cites an example of how effective follow-up activities by an internal EAP with a health care group has reduced relapses. The brief also notes that research has shown that follow-up is most effective at preventing relapse if it lasts for at least a year. "EAP Follow-up in the Workplace" is the ninth issue brief published by Ensuring Solutions since its inception last year.
