Work will be performed in Clarkston, Wash., and is expected to be completed in September 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using SBIR program solicitation under Topic N92-136 and two offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command The Naval Air Systems Command, or NAVAIR, is the part of the United States Navy which provides materiel support for naval aircraft and airborne weapon systems, such as guided missiles. NAVAIR was established in 1966 as the successor to the Navy's Bureau of Naval Weapons (BuWeps). , Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J. is the contracting activity (N68335-03-D-0149).
