Isonics Corp. Launches New Line of Intelligent Digital Video Solutions for Homeland Security Applications; Products Garner Strong Interest from Security Authorities for Mass Transit, Critical Infrastructure and High Profile Buildings.

GOLDEN, Colo. -- Isonics Corporation (Nasdaq:ISON), a provider of innovative solutions for the homeland security market, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Isonics Homeland Security and Defense Corporation (HSDC), has partnered with Intelligent Security Systems, Inc., (ISS) a leading global video security technology developer, to offer a range of novel intelligent video security solutions for the homeland security market.

Under the strategic partnership, Isonics is offering a range of systems that integrate proprietary technology to provide advanced security applications, as well as a broad functionality to be deployed in different types of venues and installations. These range from an enterprise platform for mission-critical applications capable of supporting web-based networks consisting of dozens up to thousands of cameras. These intelligent solutions can be easily retrofitted into existing digital or analog camera networks or can be provided on a full-scope, turnkey basis.

In addition to standard digital video monitoring, Isonics' intelligent video security solutions offer a range of advanced optional intelligent features for image analysis and processing. These advanced features include:

--Facial Recognition -- simultaneously detect, capture and compare multiple faces in real time. Recorded face images are compared to selected subject images for better than 99% success under optimized conditions.

--Iris Recognition - like snowflakes, the human iris is entirely unique. This biometric capability is more comfortable than retina scanning and is quick and non-contact and offers unmatched accuracy compared to other alternatives from as far as 3 to 10 inches.

--Object Tracking - the object tracking module can track and record multiple objects simultaneously, including "lost baggage" capability which associates objects to a person and can detect and alarm for various unusual circumstances, such as baggage left behind.

--Body Tracking & Behavior Recognition - movement of individuals can be tracked in real time or from stored video and can be programmed to alarm based on pre-defined behaviors.

--License Plate Recognition - license plates can be read as vehicles enter or exit from parking lots and garages as well as at highway speeds with the plate number being linked to a "recognized" vehicle model.
