ILA is the architect for the 203-condominium, 600,000 sf residential component of this major urban redevelopment project located at Columbus Circle Columbus Circle, named for Christopher Columbus, is a major landmark and point of attraction in the New York City borough of Manhattan. Completed in 1905 and renovated a century later, it is located at the intersection of Broadway, Central Park West, Central Park South (59th (the overall design was created by David M. Childs of Skidmore Owings & Merrill.) ILA is leading the design team on the redevelopment of more than one-million sf of the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The floor plans Ismael Leyva created for this 95-unit 32-story luxury condominium project on Manhattan's E. 65th St. have been compared in The New York Times to those of Rosario Candela. Robert A.M. Stern designed the building's envelope. ILA is designing the floor plans of the sky-bound luxury condominium residences on the 48th through 70th floor of this project. Leyva has used clever layouts to ensure that 75% of the residences in the building have unobstructed Central Park views. Bertelsmann Random House will occupy new headquarters in the base of the tower.
