) Thursday announced that its Computer Products Operation (CPO), located in South Burlington, Vt., has received an approximate $3.2 million order from Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Manassas, Va., to supply memory "Tall Stacks" intended for use in solid state data recorder programs.

The order is for 640 Mb memory cubes built by stacking 16 Mb Dynamic Random Access Memory Dynamic random access memory (DRAM) is a type of random access memory that stores each bit of data in a separate capacitor within an integrated circuit. Since real capacitors leak charge, the information eventually fades unless the capacitor charge is refreshed periodically.  (DRAM) chips. Lockheed Martin Federal Systems had previously ordered approximately $6.3 million of such cubes from CPO last year. Deliveries under the new order are scheduled to be completed within Irvine Sensors' present fiscal year.
