The Irrigation Association, Falls Church Falls Church, independent city (1990 pop. 9,578), NE Va., a residential suburb of Washington, D.C.; inc. as a town 1875, as a city 1948. There is diverse light manufacturing, including telecommunications equipment. George Washington and George Mason (author of the Virginia Bill of Rights) were members of the vestry of the Falls Church (built 1767–69)., Va., names Dennis McKernan as education director. McKernan has been teaching at Olds Olds, town (1991 pop. 5,542), S Alta., Canada, N of Calgary, in a stock, dairy, and wheat-farming region. It has grain elevators and is the seat of a provincial agricultural school. College in Olds, Alberta, since 1986, specializing in turfgrass and irrigation management. He has been active in the organization, volunteering as a regional authorized instructor. He has also provided technical advisory services to a number of professionals, organizations and projects in the Americas and Europe.
