Irish finish off unbeaten season.

COOS BAY Coos Bay (ks), city (1990 pop. 15,076), Coos co., SW Oreg., a port of entry on Coos Bay; founded 1854 as Marshfield, inc. 1874, renamed 1944.  - Sheldon clinched the Midwestern League volleyball volleyball, outdoor or indoor ball and net game played on a level court. An upright net, 3 ft (or 1 m) high, the top of which stands 8 ft (2.43 m) from the ground for men, 7 ft 4 1/8 in (2.  title and earned an automatic berth to the Class 4A state tournament with a 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-12 victory at second-place Marshfield.

Jaclyn Hamilton-Smith had 31 kills and 14 digs to lead the Irish (16-0), who also got 43 assists and 14 digs from Amanda Bevens.

Sheldon's Jeanene Rose and Callie Larson added 15 digs and 13 digs, respectively.

 (15-1) came back from a 5-1 deficit to win the first game, and stayed competitive throughout the match behind 21 digs and 42 assists from Lisa Tedder. Marshfield also was led by Jed Bassett's 11 digs and 10 kills and Amy Hunt's 12 kills.

The second game featured a series of runs as Marshfield took an early 10-3 lead, Sheldon came back to lead 19-12 and then the Pirates knotted the score at 20 before falling short.

The teams were again tied in the third game at 22, but the Irish pulled out the victory on a game-winning block by Hamilton-Smith.

Sheldon controlled the fourth game from the start to cap off a win that Marshfield coach Ken Tedder said was played in "the best atmosphere I've seen in 26 years."

The Millers also were led by Whitney Allen's 25 assists and six digs and Aloysia Barrett's six kills and six digs.

Sara Dean had 12 kills and Shelby Stephens slammed 10 kills to lead Willamette to a 25-21, 22-25, 25-16, 25-15 win over visiting North Eugene.

Ashley Vasquez added 19 digs and Aleisha Johnson had 32 assists for the Wolverines.
