Iran's Inspectorate Chief to Run in Presidential Election.

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- Head of Iran's General Inspectorate Organization Mostafa Pourmohammadi on Sunday announced his candidacy for the June presidential election.

Pourmohammadi is slated to explain his program and campaign slogan for the 11th round of presidential election in an upcoming press conference.

He served as Iran's interior minister from August 2005 to August 2008 during the first term of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He also served as acting intelligence minister during the term of former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

Pourmohammadi was prosecutor of Iran's Islamic Revolution Court from 1979 to 1986.
