Ipsen: EMEA's Validation of Febuxostat's Marketing Authorization Application in the European Union.

The validation signifies that the EMEA can now begin review of Ipsen's Marketing Authorization Application (MAA MAA

). The review process is being coordinated by the EMEA under the centralized procedure, which, if resulting in approval, provides one marketing authorization for all 25 member states of the EU, as well as Norway and Iceland.

About febuxostat

Hyperuricaemia, elevated uric acid levels in the body, is associated with gout gout, condition that manifests itself as recurrent attacks of acute arthritis, which may become chronic and deforming. It results from deposits of uric acid crystals in connective tissue or joints. , a painful type of arthritis.
