Iomega Names David J. Henry Vice President and General Manager, Zip/Jaz Product Management.

ROY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1999--Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM) today announced the appointment of David J. Henry to vice president and general manager, Zip/Jaz product management.

In his new role, Henry will oversee new product development, product management and overall profit and loss responsibility for both Zip(R) and Jaz(R) products. He will be based at Iomega's worldwide headquarters in Roy, Utah.

Henry has been with Iomega since 1997 and previously served as managing director, Europe, and as general manager of Nomai in Avranches, France. When Iomega became majority owner of Nomai, a removable storage company, Henry led the transition team comprised of Nomai and Iomega executives. Previously, he served as vice president of worldwide marketing for Iomega.

"Since joining Iomega, David has demonstrated his leadership abilities in running both our global marketing as well as our European businesses," said Jodie K. Glore, chief executive officer and president, Iomega Corporation. "I look forward to the marketing and management expertise that David will bring to our Zip and Jaz product lines."

Henry came to Iomega with nine years experience in engineering, sales and marketing, from General Electric Corporation, and ten years experience at Lithonia Lighting Corporation, where he was vice president of marketing.

"I'm looking forward to the many opportunities that we have with our Zip and Jaz product lines to impact our consumer and enterprise customers' computing experiences," said Henry. "We want to continue giving our customers new solutions and more beneficial and creative ways to use our products to increase their productivity."

Iomega Zip(R) drives and genuine 100MB and 250MB Zip(R) disks offer an easy to use solution for consumers to move, protect, use, share, and backup information on their computers. Fast enough to run business and multimedia applications, the Zip drive brings a new level of performance to today's powerful personal computers.

The Zip 250 drives also read and write to Zip 100MB disks, ensuring that current customers who use the new Zip drive still have the ability to share information with family, friends and colleagues. Iomega Zip drives and disks are available worldwide through retailers, OEMs, VARs, system integrators and distributors.

Jaz(R) drives and 1GB and 2GB disks unleash the creativity of consumers by giving them unlimited space for their dynamic digital content, such as complex graphic images, photos, scans, web content and audio and video clips, enabling their PC to function as a "digital creation station."

Jaz 2GB drives are fast and vast enough to run applications and full motion video, store large graphics files and Web sites often saved to hard drives due to high space and speed requirements.

Jaz(R) 2GB drives provide twice the capacity and up to 40 percent higher performance than the original Jaz drive. Jaz 2GB drives have the ability to read and write both Jaz 1GB and 2GB disks.
