Investors to get more mutual fund information.


The SEC recently approved rules that require more complete information in mutual fund advertisements. Mutual funds will have to provide current information about their returns through the Internet or toll-free telephone numbers.

The new rules are slated to take effect April 1, 2004. Earlier this year, the SEC also proposed tightening internal controls within mutual fund companies
