Investors in Software Welcomes ISO/IEC 19770-1 Software Asset Management Standard; Ground-breaking International Standard Sets Benchmark for Best Practice in Software Asset Management.


LONDON -- Investors in Software, the professional association dedicated to promoting Software Asset Management best practice, welcomes the launch of the new international standard for Software Asset Management (SAM). The ISO/IEC ISO/IEC International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ITU-T M 3000)  19770-1 Software Asset Management Processes Standard establishes a baseline for an integrated set of processes and policies for effective software management.

The international standard has been developed to enable organisations to prove that they are performing Software Asset Management (SAM) to a standard sufficient to satisfy corporate governance Corporate Governance
