continues to focus efforts on opportunities in Europe, the world's
second-largest economic power. Danea Armstrong Knittig, Manager of
Investment Attraction for SREDA, returned on March 19, 2003 from a
two-week investment attraction mission to the Netherlands, England and
Germany. The objectives of the mission included promotion of
Saskatoon's scientific R and D and identification of new
opportunities for investment attraction.
Activity highlights included: * Visiting research parks The following is a list of science parks, research parks, technology parks and biomedical parks of the world, organized by continent. Research Parks in America There are over 130 university research parks in North America today. and company incubators to identify biotechnology and life science companies that may be interested in the science infrastructure that Saskatoon has to offer. * Meetings with the Investment and Science and Technology Officers at the Canadian High Commission in London, England and the Canadian Embassy in the Hague, the Hague, The (hāg), Du. 's Gravenhage or Den Haag, Fr. La Haye, city (1994 pop. 445,279), administrative and governmental seat of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, capital of South Holland prov., W Netherlands, on the North Sea.
