Invensys Invensys plc is a British engineering company, headquartered in London, England. It was formed by the merger of Siebe and BTR in 1999. The company is multinational with operations in over 60 countries, employing over 35,000 employees.  plc, the automation and controls company created from the merger of Siebe Siebe may refer to:
  • Augustus Siebe: inventor of the standard diving dress.
  • Siebe Gorman Ltd: a company founded by Augustus Siebe and his son-on-law Gorman.
  • The Siebe Suit or standard diving dress.

 plc, today announced that it intends to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)

World's largest marketplace for securities. The exchange began as an informal meeting of 24 men in 1792 on what is now Wall Street in New York City.

Currently 48% of our revenue is from that region and 47% of our employees work there. In recognition of the importance of this marketplace, and to give Invensys increased financial flexibility and visibility, a listing on the New York Stock Exchange at the earliest practical date is a logical move."
