New agreement gives Powerware customers options

to integrate battery-free technology

Invensys Powerware Division, a global leader in power system technology, and Active Power Inc., a worldwide leader in flywheel-based energy storage systems, today announced a new agreement that will expand their relationship to distribute Active Power's next-generation flywheel product, CleanSource2.

The new CleanSource2, developed by Active Power, will be distributed through Powerware's global sales force.

Powerware will offer the CleanSource(R) battery-free technology with its three phase uninterruptible power systems Uninterruptible power system

Under the terms of the agreement, Powerware has committed to actively promote the CleanSource product line through defined sales and marketing programs and is the only UPS company within the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
