Invacare World Team Cup Set to Start in Poland.

ELYRIA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 2003

The 19th Invacare World Team Cup is set to start at the Sopot Tennis Club in Poland on June 8, running through June 15, 2003. The Invacare World Team Cup is the official wheelchair tennis Wheelchair tennis is a sport that is played on a regulation tennis court, by people using specially designed wheelchairs. All pedestrian variations of tennis are, played, i.e. same-sex, doubles, mixed etc.  team event of the International Tennis Federation, and is the wheelchair tennis equivalent of the Davis Cup and Federation Cup.

This year's event is being held in Sopot, one of the most beautiful places in Poland, at the Sopot Tennis Club which has hosted many prestigious national and international tennis tournaments. Competing in the Men's division will be the top 24 Men's teams from the 2002 event, plus two wild cards from each of the three regions, plus an additional two wild cards appointed by the ITF ITF International Transport Workers' Federation

 Wheelchair Tennis Committee. In the Women's division, the top 12 women's teams from 2002 are competing, plus four wild cards. In the Quads division, the top six teams from the 2002 event are competing. In the Juniors' division, the top 4 teams from the 2002 event, plus four wild card entries are competing.
