Invacare Corporation Sponsors Kids Day Event in New York to Help Children Learn About Adaptive Sports, Recreation.

), the global leader in the manufacture and distribution of innovative medical products which promote recovery and active lifestyles for those who require home or other non-acute health care, will sponsor the first ever Kids Day, a special event for children with disabilities being presented on July 4 in conjunction with the 21st National Veterans Wheelchair Games.

The National Veterans Wheelchair Games is the largest annual wheelchair sporting event in the world. Kids Day will provide an opportunity for children with disabilities to learn about the world of adaptive sports and recreation. Events will include wheelchair softball, field events and games, as well as appearances by local celebrities and some of the best wheelchair athletes in the world. Mascots and other professional athletes also will make appearances, prizes will be awarded, and wheelchair athletes will offer kids some firsthand pointers.

Kids Day will take place on Randall's Island, in New York New York, state, United States
