They provide curriculum and advisory services to support New Zealand schools. are pleased to honor the 2005 National Civic Star Award winners by highlighting their programs in this supplement to The School Administrator. The award was created to recognize school districts that have teamed with local communities to develop and implement innovative activities that advance student learning. For 2005, we celebrate the efforts of 28 school-community initiatives that deliver real benefits to both children and adults. A profile of the winning entries, including contact information, is contained in this booklet to facilitate program sharing and replication.
