Alehouse Favorite Now Available from Pyramid, the Wheat Beer Experts

SEATTLE -- By popular demand, Pyramid's Crystal Wheat Ale, an award-winning, filtered wheat beer, will be available more widely to consumers for the first time this spring. Beginning immediately, consumers will be able to find Pyramid Crystal Wheat Ale in local grocery store and retail outlets in the Pacific Northwest. It has previously been available only at Pyramid's Alehouses.

Crystal Wheat Ale, created and brewed by Pyramid Breweries, the wheat beer experts, won an extraordinary three consecutive medals at the Great American Beer Festival in 2005 (Silver), 2006 (Gold) and 2007 (Gold). It was inspired by Pyramid's very first beer in 1984 - Wheaten Ale - which was the first year-round wheat beer brewed in America since Prohibition. Crystal Wheat Ale builds on Pyramid's more than two decades of experience making the best wheat beers. Pyramid Hefeweizen has won four medals over the past decade, including a medal at the World Beer Cup in 2006 (Bronze) and at the Great American Beer Festival in 2004 (Gold).

Crystal Wheat Ale has an alcohol by volume of 5.3% and is made with Mt. Hood, US Tettnang, and US Spalt wheat hops and 2 Row Pale Barley.
