The Detroit Regional Chamber, in partnership with three other associations, is offering a new workforce development tool to help meet one particular need--that of the skilled/technical workforce. In response, we have developed a new program called ClickonCareers.com, a workforce development system designed to increase the number of technical workers in the region and provide employers with a tool to recruit them. As the name suggests, ClickonCareers.com is an Internet-based system, although it's much more than just a Website. Research confirms that many young people have a fairly limited awareness of what kind of jobs are really available and what they involve. Consequently, the Chamber partnered with the American Society of Employers, the Michigan Michigan (mĭsh`ĭgən), upper midwestern state of the United States.
