Intrado Extends Life-Saving E9-1-1 Services to Texas Rural Markets; Texas Tier 3 Wireless Service Providers Bring E9-1-1 to Over 100,000 Subscribers.

Intrado Inc. (Nasdaq:TRDO), North America's leading provider of 9-1-1 infrastructure systems and services, and experts in engineering and managing complex integrated data and telecommunications solutions, announced new contracts with eight new Tier 3 market operators to provide E9-1-1 Phase I and/or II services.

Intrado(R) E9-1-1 services will enable wireless operators in Texas to serve their subscribers more efficiently with enhanced emergency services emergency services Emergency care '…services …necessary to prevent death or serious impairment of health and, because of the danger to life or health, require the use of the most accessible hospital available and equipped to furnish those services' . Now these rural operators can deliver on the accuracy and availability requirements set forth by the FCC (1) (Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC, www.fcc.gov) The U.S. government agency that regulates interstate and international communications including wire, cable, radio, TV and satellite. The FCC was created under the U.S.  E9-1-1 mandate. With Intrado, rural operators, regardless of size, air interface and subscriber base, can quickly benefit from Intrado hosted solutions by reducing the need for costly capital expenditures.
