Intrado Announces Support for Voice Delivery in Next Generation 9-1-1 Solution; Integration of Voice and Data Streamlines Operations While Enhancing Interoperability.

(NASDAQ: TRDO), a global provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions, today announced that the Intrado(R) Intelligent Emergency Network(TM), Intrado's next generation, IP-based emergency communications services network, will add support for voice call delivery to its extensive list of next generation 9-1-1 capabilities. The Intrado Intelligent Emergency Network will provide the platform from which the nation's public safety agencies can access next generation integrated 9-1-1 voice and data capabilities. The nation's public safety answering points (PSAPs) will benefit from new functionality enabled by the provision of IP-based voice delivery including the ability to:

--Interoperate with agencies outside of a specific 9-1-1 selective router footprint or jurisdictional boundary

--Route live 9-1-1 calls dynamically to any authorized public safety answering point (PSAP) with notes and other related data

--Patch in other authorized agencies to live, or "hot" 9-1-1 calls for improved emergency response

--Deploy intelligent congestion control functionality within minutes, in response to increased call volumes, multiple calls for a single event, and remote PSAP activation

The ability to integrate voice calls with existing data delivery capabilities -- such as integration of new data types, notes transfer, enhanced operational flexibility and redundancy, and securely accessing new databases -- helps the public safety community streamline operations while enhancing inter-agency and cross-jurisdictional interoperability.
