Intoto will showcase a technology demo of its iGateway software platform running on Cavium's new OCTEON processors at the RSA Conference in San Jose, CA on Feb 13-17, 2006, at booth #2135.

"Integrating our iGateway security software with Cavium's new OCTEON processor family ensures our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers will receive the highest level of performance, advanced security functionality, and fastest time to market in a cost-effective platform," said Doug Makishima, vice president of marketing at Intoto. "Our continued collaboration with Cavium further extends our commitment to bringing joint solutions to market that give OEMs the ability to offer market-leading network security products in record time."

Intoto's iGateway software platforms enable OEMs to quickly bring integrated security appliances and converged business gateways to market. Integrated security appliances, such as UTM appliances, offer an assortment of security capabilities in a single box including firewall/VPN, intrusion detection and prevention, and anti-virus. Next-generation products will also include content filtering, anti-spam, and anti-spyware.

"Offering proven and highly optimized software solutions for the OCTEON processor family allows OEM customers to quickly build world-class solutions with reduced time to market," said Amer Haider, Director Marketing OCTEON product line Cavium Networks. "Working with Intoto will provide our mutual customers a ready to use, robust, feature-rich, integrated application suite for next generation unified threat management applications."

Cavium Networks' OCTEON MIPS (Million Instructions Per Second) The execution speed of a computer. For example, .5 MIPS is 500,000 instructions per second; 100 MIPS is a hundred million instructions per second. 64 based processor family consists of 1 - 16 MIPS64 based cores with application performance ranging from 100Mbps to 10Gbps and price points starting under $20. The OCTEON processor family provides networking vendors a single chip with integrated Ethernet and/or SPI (1) (Stateful Packet Inspection) See stateful inspection.

(2) (Service Provider Interface) The programming interface for developing Windows drivers under WOSA.
4.2 networking interfaces, 144bit DRAM DDR-2 memory controller, optional RLDRAM (storage) RLDRAM - (Reduced Latency DRAM) A kind of dynamic random access memory. RLDRAM comes in "common IO" and "separate IO" configurations. It supports broadside addressing. It is typically used in networking gear and set-top boxes that require high bandwidth memory. 2/DDR-2 memory controller, optional TCAM (TeleCommunications Access Method) IBM communications software widely used to transfer data between mainframes and 3270 terminals. See access method.  connectivity and internal hardware acceleration for packet processing, TCP (1) (Transmission Control Protocol) The reliable transport protocol within the TCP/IP protocol suite. TCP ensures that all data arrive accurately and 100% intact at the other end. , and Security, compression / decompression and string matching.
