He subsequently spent over 10 years at Lam Research and Applied Materials where he led the development of new etch and chemical vapor deposition products. These products today generate billions of dollars in revenues. Most recently Dr. Barnes was general manager of the High Density Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition Business Unit at Novellus Systems. He is an inventor on over 50 patents.
