Piranha, Inc. (OTC BB:BYTE) and Intersect Technologies Inc. have signed an agreement to integrate Piranha image compression technology into Intersect's commerce product, the Constable(TM) Server, and co-market the product. The Piranha Byte(TM) Server is a lossless compression technology, which in the Intersect solution, will intelligently compress/decompress image files on-demand for transmission of digital advertising to pre-press and publishers. The two products working in concert will create the ultimate automated processing and delivery environment. Using server applications, production people no longer must wait for humans to decompress and process ad image files. This is conveniently done automatically and reliably by the Constable Server.

Piranha compression science is very fast and lossless. There is no image degradation with the use of the Piranha Byte product. Tests of the software generally yield a 20:1 compression ratio and a 100 Megabyte ad file can be compressed in just minutes. This product, when combined with the automated and monitored application sequence within the Constable Server files, are processed, logged and placed on image servers in a ready to publish state. The security measures of encryption, site authorization and digital certificates along with decompression have been automatically handled by the Constable Server. These critical steps have been removed from the tasks of production staffs everywhere.
