Intersat - Robotic Downhole Tool Joint Venture.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1998--Intersat (Alberta Stock Exchange:ISS.) Interprovincial Satellite Services Ltd. ("INTERSAT") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Joint Venture Agreement with Real Time Measurements Inc and 783527 Alberta Ltd., to pursue the further development and commercialization of an automated downhole measurement service, based on a robotic downhole tool referred to as the "Smart Dart".

The Smart Dart will have the ability to take measurements inside a well, and move within a well, without any means of mechanical support from the surface. It will be interfaced to INTERSAT communications technology to enable control of the tool from and provision of readings to the offices of service companies and well owner/operators. This is expected to provide significant efficiency gains and cost savings to both parties.

RTM Holdings Inc (RTH:ASE), a junior capital pool corporation, previously announced that it has entered into a letter of intent with Real Time Measurements Inc. to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Real Time Measurements Inc. Scheduled for July 13, 1998, this proposed major transaction is subject to approval of shareholders and the meeting of regulatory requirements.

783527 Alberta Ltd. is a private Alberta corporation holding certain intellectual property rights and assets. Its principles are Bob Brown and Graham Moorhouse.
