Interplay inks deal with FormGen to distribute previews of CD-ROM software.
The agreement calls for the distribution by FormGen Inc., a Scottsdale, Ariz., distributor of shareware and preview software, to be co-exclusive.
"We are confident that this distribution arrangement will allow Interplay to expand our current customer base several-fold," said Kim Motika, Interplay's vice president of sales. FormGen will begin distribution of several of Interplay's hit titles soon, including Virtual Pool(tm), Stonekeep(tm), Descent(tm), Dungeon Master II(tm) and Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The Monster(tm).
"The FormGen/Interplay alliance not only strengthens our position as the shareware industry leader, it illustrates the essential importance of shareware as a powerful marketing tool," said Jim Perkins, president of FormGen Inc.
