Interplay inks deal with FormGen to distribute previews of CD-ROM software.

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 1995--Interplay Productions Wednesday announced an agreement with FormGen Inc. to distribute Interplay's interactive previews of entertainment and educational software to retailers nationwide.

The agreement calls for the distribution by FormGen Inc., a Scottsdale, Ariz., distributor of shareware and preview software, to be co-exclusive.

"We are confident that this distribution arrangement will allow Interplay to expand our current customer base several-fold," said Kim Motika, Interplay's vice president of sales. "FormGen has secured prime merchandising areas within retail stores which will serve to build more awareness for our products and have a profound effect on our bottom line."

FormGen will begin distribution of several of Interplay's hit titles soon, including Virtual Pool(tm), Stonekeep(tm), Descent(tm), Dungeon Master II(tm) and Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The Monster(tm).

FormGen is an Ariz.-based marketer of innovative PC software, specializing in entertainment software for the consumer market. FormGen's strategic partnerships with Apogee, 3D Realms and Terminal Reality Inc. allow for the marketing of ultra-realistic 3D games, such as Rise of the Triad: Dark War, Terminal Velocity, and the upcoming Duke Nukem 3D. FormGen's most current release is Black Knight: Marine Strike Fighter, an air combat F/A-18 flight simulator.
