The BMC requires no further customer-provided programming, and in some applications the added cost of an external processor blade or processor AdvancedMC is eliminated by running customer-provided application software directly on the BMC. The iNAV 31K offers a flexible and cost-effective resource for building AdvancedTCA systems, and serves consolidated common platform initiatives with its flexibility. The iNAV 31K also provides SAS/SATA connectivity between bays to support disk AdvancedMCs, and PCI Express connectivity to support processor AdvancedMCs.

IMS application servers, IPTV video on demand, WiMAX and cellular base station controllers, and gateways are examples of growing high-bandwidth applications that allow service creation for telecom OEMs.

The Interphase line of network interface, communications processor, network processor and security processor AdvancedMCs are all tested for compatibility with the iNAV 31K, and Interphase has aligned with the leading AdvancedTCA platform vendors to ensure interoperability. The iNAV 31K is on display this week at GLOBALCOMM in Chicago, Illinois in the Interphase booth (#34052) and in the Interphase booth within the PICMG An industry consortium that develops specifications for backplanes and interconnects for electronic equipment in the industrial and telecom fields.
