Interpeak Unveils Mobile IP Networking Suite; Enables Development of Secure Mobile Connectivity with the Dual-Mode IPv4/IPv6 IPNET TCP/IP Stack.

BOSTON & LEESBURG, Va. & STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Interpeak, one of the leading providers of Internet and security protocol solutions for embedded systems, today announced a new suite of products supporting Mobile IP. This suite of tools enables developers of wireless devices, routers and telecom equipment to easily provide mobile IP features for their customers using both IPNET, Interpeak's dual-mode IPv4/IPv6 TCP/IP stack, and other TCP/IP stacks.

Mobile IP is the Internet standard for allowing users to seamlessly roam among wireless networks. Using Mobile IP, vendors can offer applications and services such as Internet telephony, media streaming and virtual private networking without service interruption when switching from one network to another.

The Interpeak Mobile IP product suite includes Home Agent, Foreign Agent and Mobile Node, which can optionally use a co-located care-of address. All products conform to RFC 3344, the latest version of the Mobile IP standard.
