Internet World Booth No. 1721; Compatible Systems announces shipping of WorldWire; bundle provides companies with Internet software, hardware and access.

BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 1995--Internet World; Compatible Systems today announced shipping of WorldWire, the Internet bundle that offers small and mid-sized companies a one-stop solution for connecting their Local Area Networks (LANs) to the Internet. Compatible Systems has teamed with SPRY, Incorporated and InterCon Systems to offer WorldWire in both Windows and Macintosh based versions. Internet access service is provided by members of the WorldWire Partners Program.

WorldWire - a One-Top Solution

WorldWire provides a one-stop solution to small and mid-sized companies looking to connect their Local Area Networks (LANs) to the Internet. All WorldWire bundles include the Compatible Systems MicroRouter 900i, LAN Magazine's 1995 Departmental Router of the Year. Users receive a five-user license for award-winning TCP/IP software from either SPRY, Inc. (Windows-compliant version) or InterCon Systems (Macintosh-compliant version).

``The main difficulty small to mid-sized businesses have faced when getting onto the Internet is bringing together all the components,'' says Matt McConnell, president of Compatible Systems. ``WorldWire puts all the resources you need into a single box.''

Internet Service Through the WorldWire Partners Program

WorldWire users gain Internet access through any certified WorldWire Partners Program member. In order to join the program, Internet Service Providers must agree to waive all startup/setup fees for WorldWire users who commit to a one-year service agreement with that provider.

``The WorldWire Partners Program lets us provide service to virtually anyone in the United States,'' says McConnell. ``People can now use the provider they feel can best serve their needs, whether that provider's coverage is local, regional, or national. They can also choose whichever service will be most appropriate -- dial-up, 56Kbps, or ISDN. Basically, the WorldWire Partners Program helps customers by providing more choices and also helps providers by giving them an excellent solution to resell.''

Internet Service Providers interested in joining the WorldWire Partners Program should send e-mail to isp(at)worldwire.com.

Pricing and Availability

WorldWire is available through network equipment resellers and Internet Service Providers nationwide at a list price of $1,695.00.
