Internet Healthcare Coalition Washington D.C. Conference To Focus on International Issues.

WASHINGTON, D.C.--(BW HealthWire)--Sept. 27, 2001

The Internet Healthcare Coalition's annual conference, to be held November 5-6 in Washington D.C., will focus on international efforts to establish trust and ensure privacy on Internet healthcare sites.

The conference has added a special roundtable on "War on Terrorism Terrorist acts and the threat of Terrorism have occupied the various law enforcement agencies in the U.S. government for many years. The Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996, as amended by the usa patriot act : Internet Healthcare Privacy and Security Issues" that will include experts discussing the implications on security, privacy and regulatory issues.

This fourth annual conference, co-located with the American Medical Informatics Association's annual symposium, will be held Monday and Tuesday, November 5-6, 2001 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Attendees may register through the coalition's Web site, www.ihealthcoalition.org. The registration fee is $175 for the public and $125 for Coalition and AMIA members.
