Webroot Software Webroot Software is a company that creates computer security software. Webroot's corporate headquarters is located in Boulder, Colorado, and the company was founded in 1997. They currently employ about 300 people worldwide. , Inc., has combined its anti-spyware and security software products in one retail-only security suite, called Internet Essentials.

The four leading security software products within Webroot's Internet Essentials are:

* Spy Sweeper Spy Sweeper is proprietary software sold by Webroot Software, which detects and removes spyware on personal computers that run Microsoft Windows. It scans a computer for spyware by examining files on the computer's hard disk drive, as well as objects in memory, the Windows registry  award-winning anti-spyware product that effectively detects and safely removes spyware and adware from a user's PC

* Window Washer washes away all traces of your PC and Internet activity to protect your privacy as well as improving system performance

* Spam Shredder comprehensive anti-spam solution eliminates annoying and potentially harmful emails, including phishing Pronounced "fishing," it is a scam to steal valuable information such as credit card and social security numbers, user IDs and passwords.
