Rooms were designed specifically for the proceedings. on Forest Industry Wastewaters will include a joint opening ceremony with the 6th International Conference on Fate and Effects of Pulp pulp: see paper. and Paper Mill Effluents on April 9, 2006. In order to allow participants to attend both events, the Conference on Fate and Effects presentations will take place during the mornings and the 8th IWA Symposium on Forest Industry Wastewaters presentations will take place during the afternoons. Brazil's pulp and paper industry The global pulp and paper industry is dominated by North American (United States, Canada), northern European (Finland, Sweden) and East Asian countries (such as Japan). Australasia and Latin America also have significant pulp and paper industries. has been growing fast, which makes environmental aspects of utmost importance. People who would most benefit by attending the symposium include those in the pulp and paper industries' environmental specialist community, including process engineers, technicians, researchers and consultants in this area.
