The metal leaching / acid rock drainage characteristics of waste rock is a key component that, along with preliminary mine design, will be the focus of technical work to be undertaken in 2006. Mr. Mallen has also reported to the Board of Directors that work is underway to develop a mine closure plan for the Mosquito Gold Mine which was operated from 1979-1987 by Mosquito Consolidated Gold Mines Ltd. ("Mosquito", formerly Mosquito Gold Mines Ltd.) in anticipation of completion of the option agreement with Mosquito by the end of 2006, finalizing the acquisition of the property. The closure plan will be designed to allow WGM to maintain key infrastructure required for future exploration / mine development. The Company is working with the B.C. Ministry of Energy and Mines to develop a closure plan that provides the Company with reasonable flexibility to realize future exploration / mine development opportunities while addressing safety and environmental considerations.
