International Typeface Corporation Announces 13 New Fonts.


WOBURN, Mass. -- International Typeface Corporation The International Typeface Corporation (ITC) is a type manufacturer founded in New York in 1970 by Aaron Burns, Herb Lubalin, and Edward Rondthaler. Sumner Stone designed the ITC Stone Humanist family by blending classical serif Short horizontal lines added to the tops and bottoms of traditional typefaces, such as Times Roman. Contrast with sans-serif.

Tomi Haaparanta's ITC Tomism family mixes Cyrillic and blackletter shapes. The result is an ornate and angular design that can add fanciful, mythical or exotic undertones to any project. The ITC Tomism Swash design is a more flourished version of the ITC Tomism face. Individual prices of the fonts begin at $39.95. Prices for the volume of both faces start at $72.

The ITC Tetra typeface family, another creation from Haaparanta, grew out of a design study. "I wanted to see how simple I could make a family of letter shapes and still maintain their legibility leg·i·ble

The new fonts are available for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) and Macintosh(R) platforms in the OpenType(R), PostScript(R) and TrueType(R) formats. PostScript and TrueType data is packaged together. All ITC fonts include a license for up to five computers and one printer.
