The practice of trading across international borders has undergone a number of changes, many of which have consequences for the world trading community. In International Trade in East Asia, a group of esteemed contributors summarize the empirical aspects of international trade that pertain specifically to East Asian countries such as China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. This volume includes twelve studies that highlight trading practices which exist between countries within as well as outside of the region. The contributors bring into focus some of the endemic and external barriers to international trade and discuss strategies for improving productivity and fostering trade relationships.
