), today introduces the PVT412A Series microelectronic relays (MERs). The new relays have two times more load current capability at 400V off-state blocking with less than one-quarter device on-resistance than the earlier PVT412 Series MERs. This means that the new PVT412A series relays are more efficient and robust than the previous devices.

The new MERs can replace electromechanical The use of electricity to run moving parts. Disk drives, printers and motors are examples. Other benefits include bounce-free (noiseless noise·less

) switching, reduced power consumption through lower actuation currents and high levels of immunity to shock and vibration.

Typical applications for the PVT412A Series devices include on/off hookswitch, ringer injection, ground start and general switching. In addition to telecom applications, the PVT412A devices can replace electromechanical and reed relays in applications where high reliability and low on-resistance is required, such as remote utility metering and high voltage AC and DC industrial load switching.

The devices are rated for AC/DC AC/DC
