In addition, these devices can be used in DC-DC DC-DC Direct Current to Direct Current (power conversion) converters and low-voltage motor drives. In the ongoing effort to increase the power density and speed of data processing circuits, the power supply requirement for higher density is increasing. The new IRFB/S/SL3206, 3306, 3207Z and 3307Z families of MOSFETs offer superior synchronous rectification performance through improved on-resistance in AC-DC SMPS SMPS Society for Marketing Professional Services SMPS Switching Mode Power Supply SMPS Switched Mode Power Supply applications, and also improve power density by lowering on-resistance up to 10% compared to the previous industry standards. Maximum on-resistance for the new 75V devices ranges from 4.1 milli ohm ohm (ōm) [for G. S. Ohm], unit of electrical resistance, defined as the resistance in a circuit in which a potential difference of one volt creates a current of one ampere; hence, 1 ohm equals 1 volt/ampere. to 5.8 milli ohm, and for the 60V devices, from 3.0 milli ohm to 4.2 milli ohm. The new devices are available in TO-220, D2Pak and TO-262 qualified to industrial grade and moisture sensitivity level Moisture Sensitivity Level relates to the packaging and handling precautions for some semiconductors.
