International Oilseed Distributors Inc. of Iowa, a subsidiary of Stine Seed Company, Adel, Iowa, has purchased majority ownership in ProdiGene Inc., one of the United States' leading research companies in the production of bio-pharmaceutical crops.

John Howard, founder of ProdiGene, will continue as ProdiGene's chief technology officer.
