Photographic Club of Hong Kong Mongkok Photographic Club (MPC), one of the best organized photo clubs in Hong Kong is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. Norman Lau, FPSA FPSA Free Prostate-Specific Antigen FPSA Florida Public Service Association FPSA Florida Pool and Spa Association , PSA (Professional Services Automation) An information system designed to organize, track and manage all opportunities, work, resources, costs, revenues and invoices to improve the productivity and efficiency of the workforce. Country Representative in Hong Kong, first founded the Club in March 1970. It was first affiliated with Mongkok Kai Fong Welfare Association, but became an independent photographic body in 1972. Apart from its normal activities, it has held such well received international salons as "Life of the Aged" and "Glamorous International Salon." Frequent visits to Southeast Asia, Australia and Europe were conducted for members over the years. Since 1980, MPC has taken an active role in the Federation of Asian Photographic Art (FAPA FAPA Formosan Association for Public Affairs FAPA Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association FAPA Florida Academy of Physician Assistants FAPA Florida Association of Property Appraisers FAPA Family Abuse Protection Act FAPA First Air Pilots Association ). It hosted the 15th International Conference of FAPA in 1996. On that occasion, top officials of three of the most prestigious photographic organizations of the world (i.e., PSA, FIAP FIAP Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (French) FIAP Federazione Italiana delle Associazioni di Psicoterapia (Italian) FIAP Fellow of the Institution of Analysts and Programmers and FAPA) gathered together for the first time to broadly discuss the promotion of photographic art and related issues. Among the many colorful events to commemorate its anniversary, the slide show of PSA's Best of Hong Kong and Macau was presented to its members. Members' work in prints will be exhibited in the City Hall of Hong Kong in February 2001. MPC has been member of PSA since 1972. Submitted by Norman Lau, FPSA C.R. Hong Kong PAKISTAN Presenting PSA Journals The Photographic Society of Pakistan in collaboration with the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage has set up a special photographic section at the Lok Virsa Library. PSA member Syed Javaid A. Kazi, FPSA presented his complete collection of PSA Journals from 1969 onwards. Pakistani photographers will greatly benefit from this unique collection. Submitted by K.M. This presentation was made by Shaikh Amin, FPSA, PPSA PPSA Personal Property Security Act (Canada) PPSA Pulp and Paper Safety Association PPSA Power Plant Siting Act PPSA Philippine Practical Shooting Association PPSA Planned Parenthood of Southern Arizona on behalf of M. Hanif Raza. Mr. Raza, a member of PSA, is the author of over one dozen books on Pakistan. Submitted by Shaikh Amin, FPSA CR Pakistan BEST OF PAKISTAN Dr. M. Imran, Chairman, and Shaikh Amin, FPSA, President of the Y2K See Y2K problem and Y2K compliant. Y2K - Year 2000 Photo Club, exhibited the "Best of Pakistan" at the 2000 PSA International Conference. This show presented the Pakistani civilization, social life, rural culture, charming sights of the northern areas of Pakistan and the prosperous economy. At this show, modern techniques were also introduced, which were prepared by the members of the Y2K club of Pakistan. The show was well attended and enjoyed by all. Submitted by Dr. M.
