International Museum of Women Receives $100,000 in Federal Funding.News Editors/Business Editors SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2004 Under the leadership of Senator Barbara Boxer Barbara Levy Boxer (born November 11, 1940) is an American politician and the current junior U.S. Senator from the State of California. A member of the Democratic Party, Boxer was first elected to the U.S. (D-California) and major support from House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco), the International Museum of Women secured $100,000 in federal funding in the FY 2004 Omnibus omnibus: see bus. Appropriations bill, which was signed by the President on Jan. 26, 2004. The funding will be used to build the first museum facility dedicated to honoring the lives and history of women worldwide. As part of its Federal funding effort, the Museum also secured support from the bipartisan leadership of the Congressional Women's Caucus caucus: see convention. .
