International Forum at MIT Recognizes Acxiom Research on Data Quality.


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Acxiom(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:ACXM) today announced that Acxiom associates presented three research papers on data quality to the Ninth International Conference on Information Quality (ICIQ ICIQ International Conference on Information Quality ), hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Massachusetts Institute of Technology, at Cambridge; coeducational; chartered 1861, opened 1865 in Boston, moved 1916. It has long been recognized as an outstanding technological institute and its Sloan School of Management has notable programs in business,  on Nov. 7-8. The Acxiom research papers were submitted anonymously and judged by an independent panel of experts in the field of information quality.

"Participating in industry-leading research allows Acxiom to combine the best of theoretical concepts with practical experience in a manner that brings measurable benefit to our clients."

"Peer-review publications and conference presentations have always been an important means to validate and disseminate research results."

Earlier this year, Acxiom announced a collaborative research initiative with MIT called Customer-Centric Information Quality Management. The program addresses data quality issues specifically related to customer relationship management (CRM (Customer Relationship Management) An integrated information system that is used to plan, schedule and control the presales and postsales activities in an organization. ) and helps professionals improve their organization's use of information as a strategic tool for managing customer relationships.

The three Acxiom research papers presented at ICIQ were:

--"Using the Data Quality Scorecard as a Negotiating Strategy," by Traci Campbell, Keri Douglass and Wyndolyn Smith-Adams.

--"Applying Name Knowledge to Name Quality Assessment," by Talburt and Kimberly Hess.

--"An Algebraic 1. (language) ALGEBRAIC - An early system on MIT's Whirlwind.
