International Datacasting to Distribute Vipersat's VSAT Networks.

The agreement signed during Satellite 2001, in Washington D.C. is for the distribution of Vipersat VSAT (Very Small Aperture satellite Terminal) A small earth station for satellite transmission that handles up to 56 Kbits/sec of digital transmission. VSATs that handle the T1 data rate (up to 1.544 Mbits/sec) are called "TSATs.  network solutions by IDC. The agreement gives IDC a proven flexible and cost effective return path solution for their Outbound Digital Video Broadcast (DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) An international digital television (DTV) standard that is the European and Far Eastern counterpart of the North American ATSC standard. ) satellite networks while providing Vipersat with expanded market coverage for their products through IDC's established distribution network.

In addition, Vipersat networks include proven network management and monitoring software for a complete network management solution.

Vipersat Networks installed its first IP based network in 1998 and its initial DVB network in July 2000.
